I am new to the site and will be taking my 2000 Ford F-150 with the 5.4L in for Radiator Flush,Tranny fluid change,Fuel filter Change,and Air Filter.I have about 60,000 miles on it.I do this every two years regardless of mileage.

Is there anything else that should be done or checked.It runs really good outside of a little flapping sound when I first start up when its cold.

What about Spark Plugs & wires and serpentine belt????

Check the belt for signs of cracking on the ribbed side.
It doesn't have plug wires, it has a coil on each plug.
Plugs aren't due until 100,000 miles, but can be changed if you want too.
Maybe a new PCV valve wouldn't hurt.

 

Wouldn't be a bad idea to check the differential fluid either and replace if dirty. Make sure they use 75w140 synthetic gear oil and possibly friction modifier though if it needs to be replaced. Not just standard gear oil.

 

When I changed oils in my truck, I put 80/90 back in, just because that day I couldnt find any synthetic, and so far it seems good, although I am going to switch all oils to synthetics pretty soon. Been saying that for about 6 months now too haha
