Question Transmission Questions????

Yes i was wondering if a 6 speed transmission off of a 1999 F250 Powerstroke will bolt up to my 1997 Ford F250 Powerstroke or not, i mean the bell housing to the motor and then with the drive lines and all too, just curious if it will or not, and another thing Rubberduck i wasnt far from where u lived last week sure would have been nice to seen ur truck though and its sweet too was down around san antonio and new braunsfalls last week though then went on back to fredricksburg and then made a flying trip back to Rising Star because to the Cross Plains fire so yeah if yall can tell me if the transmission will bolt up that will be the next upgrade on my truck then the stacks lol, thanks Lance

a 6 speeds overdrive is not any better than ours...

the benefits of a 6 speed are:

lower 1st gear...why you need an even lower 1st than we already have is beyond me but whatever...i barely use the 1st i have now let alone 1 thats geared lower.

a stronger transfer case...

cons:
a 6 speed and xfer case=$$$$$
you need to do some fabbing... driveline, cross member and who knows what else...

TRN, I'm sorry I missed you man, but you know if we would have met, I would have talked you into your stacks like right now. Let me know next time your down my way and you can stop in for a cool one and we can shoot the breeze. Good luck with those fires man, and be carefull.
