Question ABS light

I was driving on the interstate at 70-75 mph when suddenly a car in the lane next to me decided to switch into my lane. They were going no more then 30mph,when I suddenly slammed on my brakes.I then noticed the ABS light lit up on my cluster. It stayed on until I got to work. After I shut the engine off I restarted it and the light was off.Any thoughts as to what happened?Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried? Any replies are greatly appreciated.

You can probably retrieve a trouble code from the ABS that may lead you to what happened. If you have 4 wheel ABS you'll need a scan tool to get the code. If you just have rear wheel ABS you can get the code yourself. If you search here I think you'll find instructions for doing that.
If it was my truck I probably wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. But it would be nice to know why it happened.

Same thing happened to me last week while testing my new snows. I have an AutoTap scanner which is always plugged in and I didn't see any codes pop up. Just wondering about it myself. BTW: my F150 is a 4.2L, 2wd with rear abs only.

The scanner wont work with rear wheel ABS, only with 4 wheel.
