Question Where is it?

i keep hearing people say have you check the oil resovor for the oil injection pump? where is it ?and how do you open it? and whats the level supose to be? sorry these question that sound stupid.

front of the motor theres that tank thats at the very front of the valley. on the right side of the tank theres a hex head plug. pull the plug out and use a stick or similar to check it.

how full is it suposse to be? can i use regular engine oil?

uhh your low pressure oil pump keeps it full, ive never heard of anyone checking the fluid level on that. Sometimes guys will take that plug out and refil resivor after injector swap to help get truck started again.

It's suppose to within one inch of the top. As Lukecline said it's kept full by the low pressure oil pump which is pumping engine oil. It is not a typical maintenance check. Most people are checking the oil level in the reservoir if they are experiencing a suspected injector problem.
