T18 Bellhousing Numbers

I have been searching all over the place for a T18 bellhousing that will fit a small block/300-6. I finally found one place that can get the bellhousing, but they need the numbers off of it to find it in their piles of junk. The bellhousing I have is for a 460 so I can't give them the numbers.

If anyone can give me the numbers off of it I will be greatly appreciative. I have searched all over for this bellhousing and came up completely empty. Without the bellhousing, I can't get my truck back together .

I have a T-18 behind a 300. Where are the numbers located? If they're inside the bellhousing, you're SOL.

PM me as well when you post a reply. That way I'll definitely see it.

I happen to have the bellhousing off my T-18 at the moment putting a clutch in, but it's behind a 400 so I probably have the same bellhousing you have for your 460

Yeah, I have read that the 400 and 429 bellhousings are the same. The 300 and small blocks are suppose to be the same as well.

The numbers are on top of the bellhousing, and if it is installed in a truck, I bet it would be pretty hard to see. I have taken a picture of my tranny to show you exactly where they are at.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, the tranny's still in the truck. That's going to be tough to get to, I'm afraid.

I got this number off my bell-housing. It was on an 84 with a 302 and t-170 tranny.

E4TA 7505 - DA

This was stamped on the part of the bellhousing that mates with the tranny and you wouldn't be able to see it with the tranny installed (mine is on the floor at the moment). Hope this helps, not sure if it will........

Are t-170 and T18 bellhousings compatible?

I got the bright idea earlier of calling ford. It is a long shot, but they may still have one laying around or having the numbers in a book somewhere.

you are correct. look in junkyards. i found one just two days ago for my 300/t19 project. found some more t19s that can be had for a decent price as well. they're installed in trucks, but they're there. you're looking for what's often referred to the small block or windsor bellhousing pattern. i'm up in northwestern montana. they're around, just gotta get dirty to find them sometimes in the older trucks.

if u dont mind me asking, where are you located?

i'll keep my eyes and ears open for ya man.
p.s. you wouldnt happen to have a spare shifter, would you? i'm looking for the shift lever, threaded collar, pin, spring...the whole assembly.
