Me - my X getting painted was my Christmas. I told my wife not to buy me anything because I 'might' have spent a little more on the paint (and a few other items) than I originally told her. For once, she actually listened. Only things other than that was the Garth Brooks box set, electric razor, cash, and Lowes gift cards.
Well I got a home depot gift card and some pants. I had a part of Christmas early when my wife let me buy a 750 virago. Now I just need it to warm up a bit.
Wife and I decided not to buy each other gifts the last couple of years and we told the kids not to expect much. We bought more pratical, usable gifts for grandkids, plus one toy.
I like to give gifts. BUT, Christmas has almost completly lost it's meaning and people are forgetting it's beginning. We are trying to bring some of that back into our family and hopefully the thought will continue into the comming generations.
Now, that aside......I generally buy enough must have "stuff" for myself and the boss during the year that I'd feel quilty getting more on Christmas heheheh.

Oh c'mon. A real biker would be out there rain or shine
As for me, my wife replaced the miter saw that got stolen a few months back, a new remote for my stereo/tv, a new CF card for the camera (1gig), and some tools. My parents are taking the whole family to Disneyland and Seaworld in the spring.
Every year we say we are going to cut back, but it never seems to happen.

Yes but you have no mention about snow. I have gone around the neighborhood with it but need to get a better jacket before I head out on the freeway. Or I guess I could dress up like the abominable snowman.
Not to far behind mistakenID, we gift our selfs all year long so we just got things for the folks, kids, grand kids. I did get a box of cigars and dinner to the timber mine. Wonder if they burn a stake as well as I do. Goodie350 We get about 100 frost free days, The wife and I road the bike on the morning july forth, had to work that day. It was 42 deg when we left. Needless to say she got a new pair of chaps after that ride.
We did the same thing with not getting each other gifts. We like to take our funds and pool them together to get one or two big items that we want. However, this year we went hog wild. We bought a new 2005 F150 Scab 4x4 XLT. This is the first new vehicle I have bought since the mid-80's. So far we are loving it, especially the wife (boss). She has paid her dues however. She has spent the past five years traveling around in our 1977 F-250. Quite a difference in the two as far as comfort. However, I still have strong feelings for the 77. Hope this new truck ends up running as strong.
