My son has a 2003 Ranger with the 2.3L 4 cyl. He has purchased the K&N intake system and we need to remove the air filter box from the truck. How is it attached to the inner fender? What is the easiest way to remove it? Thanks in advance for the advice and help.

I have the 2002 2.3L adn have a KN77 series. I had to stick a screwdriver under the bottom half of the airbox and pry. Those rubber grommets are pain. Caused me some skinned knuckles but eventually got it out. Just be careful what you are prying against.
