Question Charging Problem

Started Up My 1998 F-150 And The Lights Went Very Dim Then It Died.
Ireplaced The Original Battery Just Over A Month Ago;. So I Thought It Was The Alternator, But Autozone Was Unable To Test It.i Replaced It At The Weekend. Tonight When I Was Driving Home The Lights Started To Get Very Dim Again, Does Anyone Have A Clue As To What The Problem Might Be???

The closest wiring diagram to yours that I have is for a 97 Explorer. It has a "Generator/Voltage regulator" fuse under the hood in the power distribution box.

Look for this fuse in your owners manual.

If the fuse is blown it wont charge.

check the fuse or look for burned fuseable links or if the alternator was a reman from autozone they are known to never perform like oem. most are rebuilt with cheap parts.

It sounds like the problem may be intermittent. Take a voltmeter and measure the battery voltage with the truck off, and then with it running, and then report back.
