66 F100 3 on the tree to a ZF 5 speed swap
Hey all! I recently purchased a 66 F100 swb styleside with a 302 backed by a 3 speed on the column. I want to do a bunch of upgrades in the future (crate 302, edelbrock fuel injection, power steering, power brakes, etc..) but right now I'd like to swap out the tranny for better mileage. I found a couple of the 90's model ZF 5 speeds that were in the F150's on ebay. I'm curious what all I would need to do in order to make one of these fit my truck.
I know that I'm gonna have to poke a hole in the hump for the shifter, but will the hump be tall enough for this new tranny? Or do I need to fabricate a taller hump?
How difficult will it be to put in the master cylinder for the hydraulic clutch? Should I just go pull the whole assembly out of a truck at the wreckin yard?
etc. etc. etc.........
These are the few things that I can come up with off the top of my head. All suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated!
All other upgrade suggestions and easy ways to go about them are also appreciated!

I think you will need to fabricate or purchase a taller hump for the ZF. I would suggest picking up all the clutch pieces from a wrecking yard so that you know it all matches up and can get all the little bolts, etc. that you will need. You would also need to check the pedal pivot to clutch rod location in order to be sure the throw and travel is correct for the hydro clutch. The clutch master is quite small so finding room should not be hard.
