Fuel leak

I have a 97 psd, and my cps just took a s***, replaced... runs good, then I start noticing I am smelling raw fuel inside the cab so I get out a and see it dripping in the valley at the bottom of the enigine. It looks like it is on the passenger side of the truck, I am just wondering if i did something when I replaced the cps??? Before I replaced the cps, I changed the fuel filter and drained the fuel bowl, unscrewed the metal rod inside of the fuel bowl, just wondering if messed an o-ring up by doing that or not??? Any help is appreciated.

Check the intake manifold, do you see fuel in the valley?

fuel filter leak

Just replace the vacuum switch on fuel filter housing, which was leaking on my 97, but sounds like you might have a leak at youre fuel drain valve. I've read posts in fte saying you can replace the oring, as well the valve which drains the fuel filter housing. Do a search under this and you will find lots of info on it. Good luck. Jeff

Replacing the cps would not cause a fuel leak. If you just changed the filter I would make sure that it is not leaking from the filter lid. You may have the fuel lid gasket not installed properly.

or the drain valve is not closed at all/part way... or the orings are bad in the drain valve itself..just a few more to check...

It was leaking from the drain on the fuel filter bowl, the valve isn't closing all the way, do you think that the o-ring is shot inside the bowl??? When I changed the fuel filter and drained it, there was alot of junk in the bottom of my bowl, so I am thinking that after I cleaned it out, maybe a chunk got into the valve. So i should probably check the o-ring inside the fuel bowl???

i think you got it..junk not letting it close... pull the lid/ filter and hook a rubber hose onto the drain line and then give it a shot of compressed air to see if it will free it up.

obviously with the valve open
