The chip did'nt cause the fuel leak. Must have been coincedence. Check all the rubber hoses around the fuel filter bowl.

leaking green oring

The green oring you are talking about is located pm the threaded bolt which goes into the fpr right? I don't believe its leaking there but tell me about the cheaper fix, so I can save a few bucks if it actually is the problem. I sprayed some gunk in the area hoping to find the source of the problem. Whatever the problem is I know I didn't have any fuel leaks before I installed the chip. I know the chip raises fuel pressure, which could have led to the leaking fuel. No coincadence, you change pressure and things break or leak. Jeff

A chip wont raise fuel pressure. It can raise the Injection pressure, but that deals with the high pressure oil pump. The only way to raise the fuel pressure is to shim the regulator.
Their is nothing electrical about the fuel system mech. pump, regulator. The only place the computer controls the fuel is at the injector.

I did shim the fpr, and after it started leaking I took out the shim, and it leaked less, but still leaked. Turns out it was the vacuum switch which threads into the fuel filter housing. Cheapest price at the stealership was $56.00, what can you do, nobody else sells them. Jeff
