when i did my truck, i used aftermarket parts and used parts i picked up, i think if i were going to do it again and had more money i would't have used the aftermarket parts because some of my body lines didn't line up after i put the aftermarket parts on, but u'll have to pay alittle more for the NOS parts.

E,
You don't remodel Ford Trucks! You restore them. Are you going to show your truck? Are you going to drive your truck? Is this the type of truck you'd take home to your mother? Or is this one of those trucks that's like a fat chick? Yeah, there fun to ride, until your friends see you! You get what you pay for. Did you choose Ford for a reason? I have a feeling you might want to own something else. I hope your successful in your endeavor.
Good Luck, Have Fun,

The best thing to do is to ask questions about particular parts and companies on this board and make an educated decision before you buy.As far as body panels go,I've never seen foreign companies make a part I was happy with. You can find most of the body parts at salvage yards if you're willing to look hard enuff.Be cautious though, allot of the time you can find an entire parts truck for the price of a few parts at the yard.Go gravel roading and look around at old farms, you would be amazed how many of those trucks are sitting around.Good luck.

I agree with Motorhead. Check out the backroads. Last summer, I saw a 69 F-250 2wd sitting in a field. I stopped, and asked the farmer if he would sell it. He said sure, but their ain't much left. I checked it out, and it had a 390, C-6, ps, pb, and all the Ranger trim. We agreed on $150.00, and after I got it on my trailer, he asked if I would be interested in his brother's 79 F-150. He said it needed brakes, and ran bad, so he was going to junk it because he bought a new truck. I went to his brother's house, agreed on $100.00, and I drove it home. Two wheel cylinders, and a distributor cap later, it ran and drove great! The bed was rusted out, but that was it. I later sold it for money to fix up my 66.
I got the 69 running with a starter solenoid, fresh gas and battery, and drove it off the trailer! The body is shot, but I got alot of parts. Try buying a 390 and C-6 for that price!
If you see a truck that is sitting that interests you, stop and ask.
Southeastern Indiana is full of trucks sitting around. I could rattle off a bunch of trucks I know of just waiting to be saved.
Good luck!
