Best oil filter for 7.3 PSD

I use the K & N oil filter. Is this a good one or is there a better one to use?

Yes. Purolator when on sale at PepBoys. I scored a pair for $0.50/each after rebate. That's right. No misprint. Twofer $1. I also scored about 1/2 dozen when on sale at twofer $3.

STPs are a good deal too when on sale at AutoZone. I scored a bunch when AZ had them on sale twofer $5.

I put the extras on ebay and got almost $5/each for them. The best part? Know who bought them?

A PepBoys mechanic!!

Brahahahahahaha! Wifey and I laughed for a couple of hours over that one.

I've been using the Puralotors too for both diesels vehicles. Picked up two cases at Sears when they were three bucks each. That was a year ago and now there half gone with no problems.

It's nice owning two vehicles that use the same everything.

I use fleetguard filters. I probably wouldn't use anything other than a Fleetguard or baldwin, but that's just me....

I've run about 100K miles on the $2.99 Puralotors with no problems in the F250, change oil every 8,000 miles (Rotella T).

Why do you have to run an Amsoil filter, because you are using Amsoil oil?

Many people confuse the words cheap and inexpensive.

Paying a premium price does not guarantee you premium quality, just a thinner wallet.

get a least expensive,or lower quality oil filter, and a more expensive, or better quality filter and cut them open, the difference in filtration material will be obvious,i probably dont have to use an amsoil filter, but in a test-amsoil-hastings-wix were the best

If I have to explain it, then the point is lost.

This thread is about done. No need to keep beating a dead horse.
