? on 79 f250 4x4 leaf springs

Im rebuilding from the ground up a 79 f250 4x4 crewcab .

My question is where do I find 4" lift springs for this truck? I have looked all over and all I find is 6" lift springs (leaf).

I want to lift it 4" without using blocks or a body lift kit.

Also is thier a diffence between a std 4x4 pickup springs and a crewcab? Im talking about leaf springs and not coil springs.

Thanks

Go to www.ntwonline.com. They sell Skyjacker 4" kits for the F250. There are 2 kits offered and the more expensive kit uses springs in the back instead of blocks.

The regular cab, supercab, and crewcab all use the same springs.

OK this might be a stupied question but , do you use the rear leaf springs in front too ,to keep the truck level?

And thanks for the link.

No, the fronts and rears are different length and also centered differently. The front springs have the centering bolts (that locate the axles) almost dead center between the eyes. The rear springs have the centering bolts much closer to the front of the spring. You'll read about some guys doing custom work and putting rear leaves in the front but it moves the axle and isn't just a bolt up job. Your kit will come with one pair for the front and a seperate pair specifically for the back.

No questions are stupid questions . . . mostly.
