f150 acuator question
I have a 99 f150 with both acuators gone bad. I dont really care to tay $70 a piece for them and found some "universal" ones online for $5...Link below. Does anything think they will work?

I've installed a couple cheap universal actuators and if it was my vehicle you couldn't pay me enough to use them. They fall apart, don't have enough power etc.
Besides that your truck uses a different style of actuator that's built into the door latch. Those wont work anyway without a lot of Mickey Mousing.

Look on Ebay, you can find OEM acuators there. I used some aftermarket ones on my jeep once. They locked up in the locked posistion. Luckly it was a jeep with the door hinges bolted on, on the outside of it. I don't know how I would have ever got the doors opened so I could get into them to tear that cheap crap out if not for that.

Oh yea, on my 97 I ended up using one off of a mustang or explorer I think. I just swap the metal rod on the end. But be careful, that metal rod is attached to a plastic one.
