hey all,

major problem somewhere.....gas milage went way down in last couple days.....roughly getting 6 mpg now.....i consistantly got 18.....somethings up but i don't really know where to start......

Does it miss, do you have a check engine light on, do you have any codes?

 

doesn't miss....check engin light is on.....my speedo is off but i guess their could be other codes in there now

 

Get the codes checked and go from there.

 

stop at Auto Zone or somewhere that will read the codes for free, and give you and idea of what is wrong. then post the codes and reasons here and guys can say if they have had similar problem or known problem.

 

02 sensor.....it's bank 2 sensor 2.....got the sensor.....is that the one on drivers side behind the cat.....or is it passengers side behind the cat??

 

fixed...what a difference.....back to normal.....filled it up then checked MPG....18.3.....back to normal

 

18??? I can't get more than 15-16 from my 5.4....glad you found it.

 

yep....i average about 18.....it's a 4.6...5spd.....and i keep my foot out of the throttle.....if i start to get into it hard then it goes down
