Ford has already been doing the fill for life (100K) tranny in the Explorer. It can be changed but it's not fun.

As far as the OLS goes, I have yet to see my parents Impala make it much over 3000 miles, and the same can be said about my sisters Grand Am. More than likely it's to do with the short trips on the Grand Am, but on the Impala it sees 40 mi of highway every day. Both vehicles are in SD.

 

What year? I think that GM recalibrated the OLS when the SM oils became available.

My '99 Sierra barely got past 4000, but my '04 GTO is at 7300 (not 8000 yet as a previously posted, sorry, misread the dial).

 

I believe that both cars are 03's.
