99 5.4L oil leak (Expedition)

I have a pool of oil in the valley of my 5.4L in a 99 Expedition. I have taken it to the Dealership to have it diagnosed. They said it was the intake manifold, so I called another dealership to see if it was possible, because I don't think that there is an oil galley in or through the intake. The second dealer confirmed my though. Here are my questions. Are the bolt holes for the intake bolts drilled into oil galleys and the oil is leaking that way? Could the leak be from a head gasket when I only loose about 1/2 a quart of oil, per life of an oil change (3,000 miles), or could the oil be coming from somewhere else (valve covers, air box under intake)? I have put engine die into the oil about a week and a half ago, no signs.

Pray you don't have the infamous head gasket oil leak.

Oil Leak.

I have a 99 EB, same engine. I took mine to get the oil changed. I had asked them check and see if they could tell me where the leak was coming from. After a few minutes they came and got me. Once under the vehicle, they said the oil was leaking from the oil sending unit. I asked for a quote to replace it.....$160. They told me the part was only $12 but the labor was $140+. When I was under there, I noticed that it didn't seem that hard to change. I told them to cancel the oil change and that I would replace it. I then went to parts store and bought the new sending unit. $7 and change. I swapped it out yesterday. I will see if that is where the leak is coming from. Hardest part in swapping it out......removing the harness from the actual unit.
Hope this helps!!
