Wire connection behind Alternator?

Dose anyone know what the wire connection is thats right behind the alternator (not connected to it, I don't think)). You can't see it without the alternator or intake being off. It's on the lower right of it. I only ask because I picked up the truck a few months ago and am finaly done with body/paint etc. and now find I have a misfire I'm trying to trace down. The wire was hanging lose all this time (undrivin") and I just found where it goses while cleaning the throttle body and am wondering if this could be the cause of the misfire.
