wheel lug nut torque specifications

i just got back from the dealership yesterday and while i was there i had rememered reading the thread about the TSB for front break rotors and we started talking about the torque specifications for your lug nuts. It was said that in the owners manual it says that you should torque them to 150 ft/lbs, but when i asked the dealership guy, he walked away and went to talk to one of the mechanics and he looked it up in a book and then went to ask another mechanic and they told me that you should torque them to 90-110 ft/lbs on the lugs. What do yall think? do you think that the owners manual is giving you a MAX torque number or do you think that 150 is a reasonable number???

Shoud i beleive the dealership or the manual??

Nope, only one torque spec. We have one spindle gun(on each side) to torque the lug nuts on all the rim/tires. I can get the specs from work and post them when I get home tomorrow(Tuesday A.M.).

Also if I remember correctly, it is stamped on the lug nut itself. I know it was on my 2000, and am pretty sure these are the same. But like everybody said, it should be 150.

180 newton meter = 132.7611865 pound foot. I'm assuming NM is newton meter

The correct answer is 204 Nm, or (150 lb-ft). Thats right out of the Ford shop manual
