duraspark conversion

I need help; I would like to convert a duraspart distributor back to single points! I want to put a 351 windsor engine into an early mustang and need to use the duraspart distributor but I don’t have the wiring set up in the mustang that the electronic distributor needs. The engine is an 1985

First off, welcome aboard!

Secondly, you can use the DuraSpark distributor, brain box and coil on your older Mustang, you just need to do one or two simple wire changes coming from the ingnition switch. Do a little search of the site for DuraSpark upgrades, then you will be set.

Keep the duraspark, using used parts you can make it work for 50 bucks or less. No need to go back to a problematic points style. As said above do a good search there is plenty of info on this.

there is a lady up in the garage and workshop forum who goes buy 'chells56', who has her own web site and on that web site is the exact conversion you are looking for and she has a great wiring diagram and instructions and even an old guy like me found it understandable and it works perfect , bob
