Looking for Sport Trac Info

I am interested in ordering new 2007 sport track, However the bed demensions are very important to me. I am try to figure out if it can haul an atv in the the bed with the tail gate down of course. I read the 2007 has a 4.5 foot bed and there is still somehow a way to haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood ???

With the specs listed on Ford's website and the specs listed here on this site, It seems to me to be all messed up. A 4.5 foot bed is not 36"s long as some of the specs here indicated. Fords Fleet 0rder guide also say it has a 36" bed however I read in a breif overview of the truck that the bed had grown about 4"s over the 05's bed. I did find in the Ford press release specs on the 2007 they show it to have the bed being only 1/10th of an inch longer thanthe 05' at 50.1"s vs 50"s. Some spec's I have seen show the bed hight at 36"s. If that is correct, then I would assume the 2007 Sport Trac with the tail gate down and the bed being at least 50"s long. I think that would give the bed an overall depth in the bed with the tail gate down at around 86"s, If that is the case then my quad will fit in the bed.

Any info would be apreciated?

Does anyone haul quads in there sport trac's, or have acurate specs on the 2007 bed demensions?

Thumbs up

I have an '01 Sport Trac and have hauled a 2002 Honda Rubicon (500cc) and a 2005 Honda Rancher (400cc) in the bed with no problems. The atv will drive up onto the wheel wells or you can do what I do. I put 2 4x4's length wise and drove the atv up onto them. That way there is much less weight on the wheel wells. I used racheting tie downs to the atv's carge racks onto the outside bed rail tie downs. The atv's never move as long as you tie them down good. Drove locally, highway and up dirt mountain road as if it was not even there. The Rubicon weighs around 600 lbs and the Rancher weighs around 500 lbs.
