Electronic ingnition for a 534

I have decided to keep the 534, for now, in my c950, however does anyone know if there is a distributer that can replace what is there to get rid of the points? and, what it would take to add electronic ignition? Also, I would love to hear any stories on the Holley Projection - Does it worlk well? Is it worth looking into for increased gas milage?

I would check to see of the Pertronix unit is available for your year and model. I've installed some on some Ford units and it really helps. If the catalog doesn't show an application for your year and model, find a mom and pop auto parts store that will do the extra leg work for you. I recently found one that fits a '50 International pickup and also another for a Wisconsin V-4 engine, two applications that do not show up in any application catalog.
The Holley Projection unit is probably doable, but would take a lot of garage engineering.

Remember that Super Duty's from the mid-70's had Duraspark electronic ingnition. You might look into buying a rebuild distributor for a later version, along with a module. As I remember, Pertronix does make a kit for these as well.

Thanks guys- I'll look into a later model. That seems like the easiest option.
