Anyone else having reliability issues with their Kenne Bell SC?

I don't know if it's just bad luck or what, but this is the second time this year I've had to take my supercharger off of my '01 V10 and send it back to KB. The first time was because of a design flaw that was sucking the oil out of the gear case via the vent tube that connected to the air filter housing. This time an internal seal went bad which was allowing the oil to be sucked into the SC. I should have it back from them on Tuesday but I don't have much confidence that something won't happen again. I've only had the thing for a little over a year-and-a-half and it's already been back to KB twice, not to good of a track record. Other than those issues I love the unit, it provides great power but I'm not to keen on the reliability. Anybody else been having issues like this?

That doesn't sound typical of KB. I have heard many great things about them, but I also haven't heard anyone having many problems with them. Hopefully this will be the only problem for you.

I hope so too, it's very inconvenient having your vehicle out of commission for a week-and-half, not to mention, that thing is expensive to ship all the way to California from Maryland. Luckily the repairs have been covered under warranty both times. I'm hoping this will be the last time I have to take it off for repair reasons. Although, when I have to change plugs it needs to be removed because it completely blocks the drivers side plugs. The last time I changed plugs is took me a little over 8 hours, start to finish, not fun. I'm still hoping to hear from anyone else with similar issues.

That does suck. Does KB pay for the shipping? Might as well throw a new set of plugs in while the blower is off the truck.

Unfortunately they don't pay to get it to them. I needed to get it to them as soon as possible because I can't afford to have my truck out of commission so I 2nd day aired it through UPS and it cost me $269.00. I asked KB to overnight it back to me and they agreed, they do pick up that cost. I should have it back tomorrow. As far as the plugs go I just replaced them with Beru Silverstones in October. I took advantage of the blower being off right now and pulled each one to check the condition and gap. All looks good so hopefully UPS gets here early tomorrow so I can get it put back on, I miss driving it, the wife's mini van just doesn't cut it.
