Rear wiper/washer fluid line

I'm pretty sure I have a leak in my rear wiper/washer fluid line - I get no fluid on the rear window and the rear passenger-side compartment (where the fan motor for the rear climate control is) is often wet. Seems the washer feed line has either separated from a connection or become otherwise compromised. Anyone know of any tees or connections back in this area, or how the washer line feeds through it?

I can't help. Never had a problem and haven't traced the line to know the routing.

Good Luck

you are going to have to take the interior side panel off and see what came apart. if i would have seen the post about 2 weeks ago, i could have told you. i just finished the install of 5 tv's, dvd and x-box. that side panel was off so i can run the cords.

Mine did almost the same thing about 2 years ago. Found out that the pump will blow the hose off the connector if the nozzel is plugged or frozen. I know for a fact that there is one connector right over the the hatch behind the trim pannel and this caused the fluid to run down the right side and on to the floor. It was a 15 min. job to repair. There is most likely more than one of these connectors so it is possible you could have one lower along the line. I hope this is of help.

1BigBlack - where is the pump located? I'm going to take the side panel off when my wife gets back from Texas and, based on what you've indicated, I'll probably check all of the connections and find clamps to secure them more effectively. I use winter-grade fluid pretty much year-round, so I don't think I had a freezing problem. Thanks for your input!

Can't help you with the washer line problems... But I had moisture forming in the exact same spot. It turned out to be a crack in the roof-to-quarter panel seam, right side, right up top at the corner. I've read a few other reports of cracking in the same spot. Might want to take a peek up there, just to be sure.

I just had a similiar problem. I had my 02 Ex at the dealer this past weekend for an oil change. While topping off the washer fluid, the technician noticed something leaking from the sill area onto the running boards. It was washer fluid. There was a break in the line that runs from the washer bottle all the way to the rear wiper/washer. The line runs down the passenger side of the truck under the plastic trim. Mine was leaking so much it had formed a puddle in the body channel where all of the wiring runs! I was glad he found it. He repaired the line (for $80.00) and I was on my way in less than 1 hr. If you want to fix this yourself, I would remove the plastic trim and trace the black hose from front to back.

What plastic trim? Mine is leaking under the passenger door area. It looks like the hose is inside the metal body. from under the EX.

It runs along the pass side interior under the color coded interior sill trim plastics.
