Boy, I am BROKE!!! But I FINALLY got me a new truck!!
Really bad timing for my green '87 to kick the bucket, but since I was looking for a new truck anyways, it just made me get my **** in gear (only been looking for 2 months?) With the rental car, the down payment, insurance bill coming in a week and tuition due in a week, I'm going to be broke like a biatch BUt the truck is SWEET!~! Payed $13,700, for an $18,000 truck, can't beat that
Check it out, I have to share my excitement. . .and I haven't even slept in it yet
Nice truck Steve! Start saving so that you can get some goodies for it.

Thanks guys! Its kind of nerve racking driving it. Everytime I hit a bump or think I hear a noise, or the paranoia sets in. . .all I can think about is whats going wrong Then I remember I can raise hell with the service department becuase its under warranty.
The drag strip was FUN, with my 18 second 1/4 miles The '87 will probably be around for awhile, I'm giving it to my little brother. He says he wants to learn how work on veihicles, so I'm helping him finish off the '87 and get it running top notch. It won't be drivin for now, so I don't have to relegate repairs to about 20 hours on a weekend
Gas mileage seems to be pretty danged good, put 30 miles pleasure cruisin' today, and the needle has barely moved from the half full line. Of course its a 27 gallon tank. . .$54 fillups?
Hey Fordguy, where yah been?

Congrats on the new baby! PepBoys has lots of little chrome goodies that don't run too much. But I'd definitely spring for the K&N air filter at the very least.

I was playing with it today. I can get some descent acceleration out of it if I give it gas as its accelerating. . . You know, pressing the gas over 2 or so seconds instead of womping on it and waiting for the 'puter to catch up Still kinda lame, but I'm building the '78 for womptastic power anyways
To add insult to injury, I just got back from my insurance guy, there quote was almost as much as my monthly payment on the truck! You figure they'd at least give you a set of knee pads or somethin', geeze! Sucks to try and own something nice. . .
Real quick, to hi-jack my own thread here, but when can atleast the locals shoot the shizzle again? I wouldn't expect everyone to jump before the holidays, but man, come the new year. . .
