Unhappy trans problem

i hav 96 350 psd, the trans is starting to give me a problem i think i need a rebuild i was towing 6000 pds plus 2000 pds of salt bags in the bed and the trans started to go to 230 degrees and started to act up so i let the trans cool down and it strated to act normal what should do to fix this problem it has factory trans cooler.

Factory trans coolers are too small. I have a 96 and it came with one about as big as a post card. Get a larger one with larger lines if you can. Also you can put in synthetic fluid. Mine runs a little cooler with it.

no i haven't yet im nerves to because i bought it about 3 weeks ago and it has 200k on it but thrans fluid looks new

try changing the filter its the cheapest possible fix and the easiest place to start

thats what i was thinking of doing, plus i just bought a bigger trans cooler i was looking at the stock one is only two core. the one i just picked up has nine core
