Front Sump pan on '78 F-100???

I have a '78 F-100 that had a tired 351M. It wasn't original to the truck, but the original motor was also 351M. I found an '80 f-250 4x4 with a strong 400, and did the swap. The 400 had the dipstick in the rear sump pan, and so I used the front sump pan from the 351M. BUT, I broke the dipstick tube whilel getting it out of the block of the 351M. So I cut a whole in the side of the front sump and put the rear sump dipstick in it. Worked like a charm, but the pan itself doesnt seal. I want to start over so...

Is it the passenger car front sump pan that fits my application?

Where do I find the lower and upper dipstick parts to put the dipstick in the 400 block?

Do I just drill a hole where the dipstick was on the 351M (the 400 doesn't seem to have a hole in the block for the tube)

thanks

did the rear sump cause interference on a crossmember? is your truck 2 or 4 wheel? if possible, leave the 400 pan on and replace the dipstick with the same year as the engine.

The truck is 2WD. I assumed that the rear sump pan would interfere with the Twin-I setup.

Can anyone confirm this?

If you have to buy a new pan anyway, buy one with the dipstic tube in it. If you try to mix and match you may end up with the wrong length tube or stick.

The front sump pan doesn't have the dipstick in the pan, does it? Every front sumpo I have seen for sale has no dipstick in it.
