05 F-150 audiophile?
I have an 05 supercrew and want to add the factory sub.....the wires are already there and i would think that it is a plug and play system. I talked to dealerships about purchasing the sub but they wont promise me it will work! A sub from an 04 has the same connector but has 7 wires....mine only has 5 wires and the 04 sub will not work. The problem is the dealership is telling me that the same subs (same part #'s) work in both the 04s and 05s. Any ideas or what could be done to go with factory instead of an aftermarket system?

Yes you will need a audiophile head unit for the sub to work the non audiophile unit only has 2 plugs the audiophile will have 3 ,also the trucks equipped from the factory with audiophile have tweeters in the front doors, there are usually some oe head units on ebay, I have a 04 style audiophile 6 disc I will be putting on ebay soon but it does not have the mp3 capability

The small size means you can get tons of songs on an iPod or other MP3 player or on a disc. I just burned a disc in MP3 format and I got almost every Beatles album (regular UK realease) on one stinking CD.
So you could have six discs in your changer in the truck, and if the stereo played MP3's, you could have hundreds of songs in there.
