Lights on top of truck

My lights on top of my truck dont work. All the bulbs are good but it wont work. Could this be a bad fuse? what should i check first to try to get them working.

check your fuses, wiring, and switch. check also where the wire connect to the battery, and the ground wires.

had a problem with my halogens, turns out one wire came out of the back of the switch

check the headlight switch connections. If they are factory lights they will be controlled by it.Also check to see if the wiring harness to them is even there.Once saw a guy put some cab lights on his truck and never ran the wires to hook them up.

I doubt they did but you can still run them any way you can get them down, they should be on the headlight switch, so see if you can follow the wires as far as you can,or, run new wireing.

did you install the lights or did they come from the factory that way. if it's factory check the headlight switch and the wires. if someone else installed them there should be a switch somewhere in the cab to turn them on and off.

No,just 1 wire.

One wire up the front door post channel,Up into the headliner and wired in parallel to each light.

hmmmmmm. that makes me think. There was a hole drilled about 2 inches left from the headlight **** and a toggle switch was placed in there with 2 short wires like 7 inches long attached to it. they were always disconnected though. How could i know if they are factory installed or someone did it theirselves. Where would the 2 wires go into the headlight switch if there done by someone else?

Stick your head up under the dash and look for a two prong connector in the Headlight switch wiring harness.
Every vehicle would usually get the same harness if the options applied to that vehicle.
