i let my girlfreinds dad borrow my truck yesterday to move some furniture that he had got. i called him on his cell phone because i had forgot to put some powersteering fluid before i left, i told him to put about a quarter bottle into it. well i got back right as he was getting to leave and he said that he had "accidentally" put the whole bottle in which over flowed out and was compleately full up the neck. needless to say i had him take my dads truck instead. i was just wondering what to do. is it safe to run it like this? and where should i drain it from? thanks

Try disconnecting one of the hoses and see if it will drain. Drain it all out and then refill it to the proper level. I wouldn't drive it like that.

I have an easier way.
Go get the Turkey Baster and use it to suck it out of the reservoir
> Then ! Go BUY a NEW one to replace the one you took.

I just take a clean grease wrag or papertowel and soak some up and then pull it out. Get it to the level ya want.

All,
Another way to get liquid oil lubricants out of reservoirs is to purchase a giant syringe. They can be purchased at any drug store and are usually used to feed people whose jaws are wired shut. They come with a long green hose that can attach to the syringe. This is good if you need an oil sample for analysis.
