That piece of junk? You would have more luck with a Pinto to pull you out. Hehehe, just messing with you Brian.

A_G......
my "snow-fighter" is waiting for me to buy a house with a good shop so i can start my long journey of fabricating it into a metal monstrosity of its former self....who knows what kind of bizaar and twizted things i will come up with to do to it....then again it just might end up being another redneck country mud toy....i win either way!!

Robert....
Dont think for one second that i havent dreamed of crossbreeding the 'ol F-250 with a 70s pinto wagon body(ya know, the kind with the little round mooney window on the side) then you would see one mean truck pulling pinto!!

BTW....
I put that link in my sig....its only temporary, but still cool!!!

I have yet to "bump" into anyone from FTE, so count yourself as lucky. I wish there were more of a following for the older trucks, but that doesn't seem to be, what with all the flash and flair along with the reletive inexpensive nature of imports.

Huh? Well, darn. I missed that covert group meeting. My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail. Ya, we'll get some more meets together.

Hey Anthony, my truck will always have the tailgate down. And the shiny bright red paint, ain't so bright and shiny anymore. Honk if ya'll ever see me. I know that I see MikeB 88 occassionally and try to give a wave when I see him.

Didn't you watch Myth busters? Driving a truck with the tail gate down produces worse gas mileage. They took two identicle Ford trucks, had them outfitted and ran them exactly the same way. One had the gate up, and one had the gate down. The one with the ate up was able to go 30 extra miles before it ran out of gas.

BTW, has anyone up here in Owasso tried the new Wild noodles yet?

Nope. I heard that before, about the tailgates. What everyone seems to be missing is that they compared two specific models. If some scientist borrows my truck and does some controlled environment tests with exacting tolerances for the test and proves otherwise, then I will put my tailgate back up. As it stands now, I feel less drag on the rear and it keeps the tailgaters back another couple feet.

Haven't tried Wild Noodles yet. I just saw that sign yesterday. We tried the Three Mozzerellas and was not impressed. They tried to be a 'Posh' restaurant with a short one page specific menu.

Dude i can prove it to you that its bad for your mileage.
Look out the back window sometime, If youve got some kind of light debris in the bed (wood chips, leaves etc) If you look out the back (with the tailgate up) there will be a tornado effect.

So when the air comes off the cab its hits this tornado effect and just goes over at a slant.

I always wondered if a chopped and slammed truck would do the same...Hmm

Ive seen you once around tulsa. I dont live there anymore ..but i did...for 8 years...

Mike,

The wife and I tried Wild Noodles the other night...Not too bad. Price was reasonable and it only took about 5 or 6 minutes to get our food. I had the lasagna in a bowl and my wife had the marinara pasta. I would say we will probably go back again soon.

Hope everybody had a great Christmas and a happy New Year!

Well I've been out of the loop for a while here, now that my truck is down (I'll post the story in a minute) I don't have too many places to go anymore. I did get a new job working at Schlotsky's Deli.

Tim,

Thanks for being the first to try Wild Noodles. Looks like I might have to talk Ann in to going there Friday for dinner.
