Steering colums

Hello Folks,

Quick question, My friend want's to buy a 90 F-350 (I know) desiel, but it has a bad upper steering colum. I have an extra 92 F-150 steering colum, do they interchange? I have not seen the other truck so I'm not sure if they do. I don't want to tell him yes if they don't.

Thanks,
Fordmon

Well it should fit OK but there are other issues. The 90 has the wiper **** on the dash and the dimmer switch on the floor. The 92 has both on the turn signal lever. The plug for the column will probably be different due to the extra items. Also, it should have an airbag on the 92. He could install it and use the old dimmer/wiper controls but it would probably confuse the hell out of someone else that tried to drive it.

Airbags didn't start on the F-150s until 1994.
