43, I own my own business, a industrial control panel shop, in SE Wisconsin. I have been working on my F-2 since the early '80s when I got out of high school. I drove it for a few years and then parked it. I got it on the road again about eight years ago. I got a '48 panel about four years ago, did some major body work but has been sitting for a bout two years. I bought a '51 F-4 two summers ago and a '48 F-4 last summer and am in the process of making one good truck out of the two. I had to get the F-4 moved, that's why it was moved up in the queue.

I'm 46, with a 19 year old son helping. I'm the GM of a tire wholesale company in Colorado Springs. First restoration/street rod, but I've been into cars and motorcycles forever. Currently on sabbatical from autocrossing, we may use the 48 as an occasional tow vehicle when we start again.

Just passed 44, 12 years as a special ed teacher and school administrator in Mass. 48 F-3, 73 VW Karmann Ghia, and 50 John Deere Model M tractor as projects. All running, all needing body work, all parked neatly around the yard so my other boss won't spin her head around like Linda Blair.
First car: 69 cutlass convertible, 2 BBL rocket 350 with a rear right tire that needed replacing often (no posi). Just hit the gas and watch her smoke.
Future projects; baja bug, fire engine, 60's buick riveira or whatever else looks good on the side of the road when I have a little cash. Kids are helping out and they are only 1/2 way to driving age.

I'll be 65 on Dec 13. Retired US Navy in 87 and worked in hi tech electronics both RF and computers until 2002. Now have a small shop and build fun things to order for customers. Specialize in hot V8 flatheads (thus my screen name) and Y Blocks but also drive a 1968 SS 396 Impala ragtop that is a bit warmer than stock. Im also known to sneak a SBC in a Volvo when cash is waved at me!
Built my first full custom in 56 (chopped 49 Ford) and have been involved in something ever since. Rods, customs, muscle cars, various SBC converted British cars, Vettes, stock antiques, old trucks big and small. Absolutely no brand loyalty, Im a complete ***** for V8 American engines.
The Ford trucks around here are 43 1/2 ton, 54 F350 with warm 292, 55 F100 in pieces (buy it cheap), 78 E150, 79 E350 box truck and 83 F150.
Also have a 49 F3 and 62 F250 that are destined to be married and carry a vintage wrecker out back. Powered by either a 460 or 430 Lincoln with C6.

my name is Alec Goldsmith and not to make all you people feel old or anything but... I think I am the youngest on the site at the age of 14. this is my first truck with my dad and will be my first ride. It is a 1948 FORD (what else) F-1 on a 1994 ranger frame with a wood flat bed (going to change)
