I'm 53 and self employed.Retirement a long way off. Driving my 53 helps me feel retired well at least a little more relaxed

Hi,
Very interesting thread, just got around to reading it all the way through.
My name is Mal and I'm 45, Equipment Technician for a semiconductor factory in Newport Beach, CA. Have had my F-1 for about 19 years, hope to get it on the road this year, but you know how that goes.

Question What is your age ?

Age is just a number. The older you get the more one becomes aware of this.

I'll be 65 in a few months on the same day that HOMADE (garry) is 64. I grew up in and woked in specialty construction my whole life. Retired at age 50 ( not by choice ), but due to modern medicine I am blessed to still be here.

My 51 was bought new for my dad at the family company. We took it out of service in 1975. The outer body of the truck was stripped, dents pounded out, 45 # of lead used to fill dings etc. Formed new running boards at shop and welded ends to fender bottoms. Color was changed to white in 1978. Went to AZ in 1980 when my dad retired. Came back to me in SC a couple of years into the new century. Always something to due onit and like everybody says the only limits are time and money.

Best to all of you ! ! !

Thumbs up What is your age ?

Just read all the posts on this. Age is just a number as we all know. Some days one is older and some one is younger. In a couple of months I will be 65 on the same day that HOMADE (Garry) will be 64.

I retired at 50, not by choice, but am blessed to be with you all today ! ! !

The 51 has been in the family since new. The color was changed to white ( from green) in 1978. We overhauled the engine at 50,000 miles. It now reads 69,622 miles. It was retired in 1975 (was a work truck in construction), but has always been garaged. Still lots of things to do, but like we all know - money, energy, time. As all of us who are retired know we have more time than energy & money.

Best to all of you ! ! ! !
