Question engine numbers and cps info...?

ok.. i pealed the sticker off the driver's side valve cover since it was about to come off anyway... here's the info on it:

CE 002 AB
7.3 DI TURBO DIESEL
1951227
(a barcode)
09 JUNE 02
INTERNATIONAL
INDIANAPOLIS ENGINE PLANT

so... i need a cps... i found one one ebay that reads:

<TABLE id=AutoNumber1 borderColor=#ffffff height=29 cellSpacing=1 borderColorDark=#ffffff width=492 bgColor=#000000 borderColorLight=#ffffff border=1><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=bottom borderColor=#ffffff width=224 height=11>FORD PART #</TD><TD vAlign=bottom width=252 height=11>F7TZ-12K073-A</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=bottom width=224 height=9>INTERNATIONAL PART #</TD><TD vAlign=bottom width=252 height=9>1825899-C93</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=bottom width=224 height=1>ENGINE SERIAL #</TD><TD vAlign=top width=252 height=1>375549 & ABOVE</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

is this the right cps..? was is the difference in the cps for the earlier models..? the buy now price is $48.99, should i get two...?

the reason i ask for help on this is that my mule has started idling a little rough and as far as i know i still have the original cps in this truck and i'm closing in on 97k miles...!

That is the one you need. I got the same one off Ebay also. Just replaced mine today.

Ford Part Number for 97 and newer trucks is F7TZ-12K073-A

International goes by Serial number.
Engine Serial # 375548 and below is part# 1821720-C99 (mid 97 and older)
Engine Serial # 375549 and up is part # 1825899-C93 (Mid 97 and newer)

Cps

The difference is actually the material the contact terminals are made out of or coated with. You can use either CPS sensor in an emergency, but if you keep the wrong unit in they say you may have a corrosion issue.

Good idea to carry an extra one in the glove box. When I had my 7.3 I had a new one in the glove box always.
