Red face 66 F100 Stepside Shortbed / Help needed!

My wife says I am a sick, demented, juvenille that refuses to grow up. (I don't feel sick!) My driver is a 66 F100 stepside shortbed with a 508 Cadillac. I've installed a cam, alluminum intake, MSD, and a 800 cfm Edelbrock carb. I would like to know if anyone could tell me what the original weight of this truck was with a 292 automatic. Also my plans are to shorten the rear axle width and could use some imput. The king pins are shot and was told it would cost about $400 to have them fixed. It would seem to me I could probably put some kind of sub-frame under it for that kind of money. If anyone can help me or my wife, we sure would appreciate it.
