seat swap?

I have a new to me but bought it used 2000 F150 Lariat. Although it does have leather, unfortunately it is the 60/40 split seat. What seats will swap right out into this truck? I'm also looking to do a center console what other trucks/suvs will work?
I'm assuming an expedition seat and console will work as well as from another similar year truck is this assumption correct?

Almost forgot...I want to put bucket seats in rather than bench style...is this even possible? Will the holes mate up on the swap?

Good news is that you don't need to buy new seats. You can remove the center section and get the leather resewed. Give me some time and I'll hunt down the how-to. Get an Expedition console, MUCH nicer.
If you still want to swap seats, get some from a 2000 up F150 or Expedition. They will bolt right in. You may have to tap the holes for the inside passenger track. The new body style F150 and Expy seats bolt in also(this info is from a guy on another site). Seats from a 97-99 will bolt in BUT they don't have the seat belt in the seat. You would also have to get the belt and plastic trim panel.

Yes, the only thing you have to check is the seat belt shoulder anchor. Things are different if it's all on the seat vs. on the roof.

For what it's worth, my 2001 has the 40/60 seat and the driver's seat is exactly like the captain's (bucket) seat. The passenger seat mounts exactly like the passenger captain's seat, with the center seat portion cantilevered over from the main part of the passenger seat. That is, there is no additional floor mounting for that center seat. So, the passenger bucket should bolt right in.

Of course, your mileage may vary!

wow, looking over that post is appears that it is a lot more work than I anticipated. It was very simple to do on my Ranger. I'm still going to move forward with it and do it, however the cost will not make me happy. However, having a center console will equalize the wallet depletion.

After further investigation my 40/60 bench seat has a center mount under the 60 part, will that just be eliminated completely when I do the swap?

I have a 2005 F250 extended cab. I currently have a factory bench seat, but I want a split seat. Does anyone know if a previous year 60/40 or 40/20/40 split seats will fit in my truck. and also if a F150 split seat will fit in a F250 w/out major modifications.
