Lightbulb Accessory Fuel Cell

I have located a manufacturer that makes a 100 gallon, aluminum, baffled fuel cell, with a chest type toolbox attached to it. I know it's intention is the transportation of diesel, or non potable water, but what I'm wanting to do is add it to my present fuel system. That plus my factory 19 gallon tank should keep me running for a day or two...

My question: Is it safe to keep gasoline in a container like this, using it for a fuel tank?

My guess is the fuel tank manufacturer is the one you need to ask. They are going to have to sign off on it for liability purposes.

Too little information for anyone to say .........

Well, you have to look for an auxiliary tank, not a transfer tank, and the manufacurer has to approve it for gasoline usage. They do make replacement oversize tanks for the underside of the trucks, and in-the-bed tanks (that can work either by gravity feed or electronic pump).

Thanks for the point in the right direction......

we use them up here for that purpose with out any problems . the maker is making sure his butt is covered . dont set it up for gravity feed, and put an anti-syphoning valve in the line like they use on boats, actually set it ip as if it were a boat thats how they are done up here.put a manual cut off valve where you can reach it quickly. dont over fill it and dont smoke or allow others to smoke arround it. of course I live in a town that has a small rural population. I wouldnt do it in a large heavily populated city. you would be better off with the steel version of that than the alluminum one, my 2c's,bob
