My 93 does it too. It started about 130k and I have 171k on it now.

So if yours is like mine, I know you still have at least 40k miles left

Try having it flushed It cost about 95 bux.

The e4od valve body does have problems when the fluid gets a little dirty.

Hope this helps

what would cause such a thing like that. i mean the fluid in it smells fine and looks red as can be just as if it just came out the bottle. so i dont know what happened to it.

K i donno if its the same tranmission but i had a 1993 ford f150 302 with e4od. It started doing that me and my buddy thought it was the greastested thing since slice bread. With bald tires it some times would break loose thought that was sweet for frist truck. Well for 2 years my buddy has been working in a trany shop turns out thats becuze some selinod is not working and it could cuze damage.

I donno about the damage part but my trucks lasted 60 000 shifting hard tell i crashed it
