Question Can Anyone Recommend a Good Floor Jack?

I'm looking for something economical yet reliable, and also some stands to go along with it.... Also for the F150 should I get a 2/2.5/3 ton jack? Thanks in advance...

My buddy picked up a Craftsman aluminum jack. Its NOT as lightweight as I thought it was, but it works great, and is more than enough to lift our trucks. I think they are fairly reasonable, ($100-130?)

Try to get one with a "Quick Rise" lever. It is nice to get the jack in contact with the truck quickly then you can raise it normally. Otherwise you are pumping the handle for a couple of minutes before it gets to the truck.

I agree. The Craftsman one has that feature

That and it has padding on the handle to keep u from messing up the paint. Very helpful with my Cobra.

I've got a really nice one that has a long handle thats permanently attached to the jack. It is probably twice as wide as most floor jacks, and I do believe that it is a 3 ton.

I bought a floor jack at Sam's Club last year for about $70. It has a 7000 lb capacity and 24" max. height. I love it, but I'll give you a hernia if you try to carry it.

I am also in the market for a jack. Ours is a 3 ton, but it has a leak in it, so after it goes up about a foot, each cycle of the lever only gets it about 1/4" higher.

Anyone know of a good 3+ ton jack that will reach higher than 30" or so? I plan to put 33's on my truck soon, and my current jack wont get my 32's off the ground unless there is a 4x4 wood block on it.
