Windshield Wipers - Hi Tech stuff worth the additional cost?

I've been looking into replacing wiper blades for my '04 F150 XLT SCab. In addition to the Bosch inserts, which work fine, there are a couple high tech aftermarket blades.

Do they work better than the Bosch or are they about the same?

I know what they advertise. I'm wondering what the real world experience is.

I'd probably just stay with the Bosch

Bosch is about as high tech as my wallet is willing to go. I have a set on my truck now. They are twice to triple to price of the standard anco or trico blades.

They work just fine.

I got some new blades which are a single piece instead of the structure that most designs have. I think they are made by Trico. They've been good so far, but what I'm really hoping is that I won't need to go to those rubber booted winter blades. Haven't had much snow yet!

I can't recommend the PIAA silicone blades enough! They are quiet (even in freezing temps), wipe clean and even, don't freeze to the windshield, and last. The set on my Ranger is 18 months old, and still work like the day I put them on. They are pricey ($17 a piece), but cheaper in the long run because they last so long. I will never use anything else! http://www.piaa.com/WiperBlades/silicone.html
