ive got a freind who has two 50 model v8's one runs but smokes, the other will turn over but will not start. the good news is it has only 1300 and some change on the od. I now for a fact that is the original milage. I know he wants to turn loose of at least one of them maybe both. let me know if your intrested. The bad news is you would probly have to haul off the whole truck.

Why are you re-posting this thread? This guy is in Saudia Aribia and has no intention of buying a flathead! I emailed him directly offering to connect him up with someone with a flathead for sale, no response. He must be lonely.

yes I did. He is going to have to get back with me. He also deals with tractors and he sold a john deere R to some fella about two weeks ago. To make a long story short the dude is also working on a 50 f-1 and wanted dibs on the trucks motor. from what I understand of the dude he gets projects and sits on them till they rot, so I told my buddy that I knew some one who needs it and will actually do something with it. My freind is an older retired fellow and honorable so he wanted to call the guy first to see if he still wanted it. As for as the runner he dosnt want to part with it as of yet. I do know were an old 51 fire truck is sitting in a salvage yard about an hours drive fron Lake Charles but he is one of those guys that thinks just because its a flathead its worth a small fortune. Its all there but weather its rebuildable is anyones guess. I will try calling him next week, I left his number at work. I just bought a set of dodge wheels for my ford from him. BTW ive got two pictures posted in my gallery of my truck when I picked it up eight years ago. Should have some newer ones after this weekend.
