mine doesn't either, should it. my old 1995 chevy did. my 2001 screw cab 4X4 5.4auto doesn't shut down at 100 like the chevy did. I never ran it fast enough to see if it shuts down a little faster or not at all

Could be the speed limiter is set to a higher number you haven't reached yet. A rental I drove a couple of months ago didn't shut down til 110mph.

My 97 doesn't shut down at 100mph either. I was afraid to push it any faster than 105. I would have hate to been caught by the highway patrol for doing 105 in a 70mph zone.

That was my dilemma as well. Only reason I was doing 100 was cause I was racing with my little brothers loud mouthed, Ford hatin, crap talkin, chebby driving friend and I couldnt let him blow me out the water. Did find out that his cuts out somewhere around 94-97.

My 97' cuts out around 95. Although I am only going about 85. I changed my gears to 4.56 and have not recalibrated the speedo yet.

The stock shutdown I believe is 108 or 115. I had my truck dynoed recently, and they tried to run it in 3rd gear but it hit the speed limiter

It should be 105 unless someone has used a tuner and raised it.

I have 32" tires on my truck...so if the speedo reads 100...then my true speed will be somewhere around 115 or so.
