? Help Starting Problem?

Hello,

Guys I am new to the site is AWWWWWESOME

You guys are a really good group,I hope to be a long lasting member, Also I just got my newer(FIRST) PowerStroke 2001 Crew CAb 4x4 Anyway Sorry When I start well as I am starting the SD I have to pull up on the gear shifter to start it.

Chk on your transmission a switch called a DTR Its a safety switch to make sure you are in neutral or park before starting they can go bad or get out of adjustment.
Crawl under the truck driverside you will see it.maybe its loose if someone had the tranny out it may have come loose.
