they played the 911 call from the grandaughter on the news, and in the background you could hear the whole thing

Grandaugher to 911 operator: "you better get police out here she's gonna shoot him again!"
Later the Grandmother said "I shot him in the leg, cuz I was aiming at his leg"

I heard that 911 call. After she shot him, he ran out of the house. She chased him out and told him to lie down. When he didn't she fired a shot in the air. The 911 operator told the grandaughter 'Tell her to stop shooting him'.
He ran off but the shot in the air attracted the police who caught him.
