Reading this thread with great interest,.....

Here is what I need to do, I just bought a fiberglass tonneua cover for my F250, it is factory white and my truck is gloss black. Can I just buy the wally world gun and a half gallon of Rustolem gloss black and go to town and have it look good? My local auto paint shop wanted $265 to paint it for me!!!! Ouch!

You would probably be better off to get matching black from a paint supplier. There are actually different blacks, just like reds, silvers, whites... Now, if you sprayed your truck, then have at it. Another option is duplicolor. They come in factory colors. I don't personally have any experience with their products, so I can't say how it goes. As far as quantity, it would seem to me that 1/2 gal is WAY more than plenty. I am sure someone else will have something to add.
