1974 alternator wiring
I have a problem, the wiring on my altenator and regulator don't match any diagrams that I have seen. On the alt. I have a BLK from the BAT terminal to the starter solenoid. I have a ORG that comes from the field term to the field term on the reg. Am supposed to have a wire on the stat term? Also on the reg I have an org that is F, a GRN/Red that goes to a connector that is also linked with the horn wire, And a white wire that goes to the starter sol. I have some what figured those out but cant figure out why I have about three extra wires connected to the Wht&BLK wires that go to the starter sol. The wire colors are Red, Blk/Yl, Yl/Blk. If anyone knows why these are connected or if they should'nt be connected, it would help me a lot. Thanks
