Clutch problem, Won't Dis-engage

Hello all!

I just swapped a 1979 T-18 and Np-205 transfer case into my '85 F-150. Everything seemed to bolt up good, and basically went together without a problem.

Now the clutch won't dis-engage all of the way. When the clutch pedal is pressed in, the truck still moves. I've bled the slave cylinder, also I looked underneath when the clutch is pressed in the shift fork seems like it's moving all of the way. It almost hits the back of the bellhousing, so i would imagine that it's working right. I'm using the original bellhousing off of the Ford 3sp w/OD trans. I measured everything and it seemed the same. I also put a new clutch in and had the flywheel turned. Could this be from a bad clutch alignment? I used the input shaft from my old 3 speed to align it.

Has anyone else ever had a problem like this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I've re-checked evertything today and still can't figure out what's going on. I suspect it's the pressure plate. Maybe I got a defective one from the parts store. The pilot bearing is the same one used in both trucks. I'm putting it all back together with another new clutch set tomorrow and hopefully it will fix the problem.

if that is an internal hydraulic throwout bearing you can put a spacer or two behind it to get full disingagement. somethimes folks leave those out ond youll spend hours trying to bleed the clutch and make it work, bob

I just put everything back together with a another clutch set. It fixed the problem. So it was either the throwout bearing or the pressure plate. I'm just glad to have it fixed. Now I just need to swap out the whole front 2x4 suspension with the 4x4 stuff and I'll be back on the road!
