what have you found in your truck?

I found a bag of needles packed in a Hardee's bag, stuffed up under the dash in a Chevy Citation that I bought at a police auction many years ago. I just tossed them in the trash. Car had been involved in a police chase and they had a stolen large appliance in the back if I remember correctly. Finger print dust all over the place. BTW - that crap was hard to get off. They miss stuff I guess.

Our '53 F100 didn't have much in it, just some old registrations, and plain ol' trash but we did find a metal license tag for 1953. This is the little inch square license renewal tag with the tabs that attached it to the license plate. Must have been leftover from the first time it was licensed. Wish we had the original plate to go with it.

The worst thing i found in recent days was in a heater I picked up for $10.. opened the thing up to clean out the starts of a rats nest I saw sticking out, only to find the rat itself had been caught up in the "squirrel cage" of the blower unit... that was not a pretty site. Luckily it looked like a quick and painless way to go, although his bits and pieces really rusted up the inside of the heater... think I'm going to try and find a differant heater

I found two chevy sbc heads under my bed. It,s true.Of course this was about 1980 when I first got it.Before these trucks were worth much.
The kid I got it from had them under there for weight to go off roading. The rear diff gears were welded. For traction of course.Five gallon can wired in the bed with a hose to it because he busted the orginal tank.Off roading.
It was jacked up front and back.
He had the heads bolted where the spare tire would be.Carl

Down in the deep recesses of the cab corner of my 48 F-3, I found an 8 ounce can of Huberd's Leather Dressing manufactured by the Huberd Shoe and Grease Company of McMinnville, Oregon, complete with a portrait of Mr Huberd (I guess) wearing a suit and a pompadore hair cut inlayed on the top side of a hightop shoe. COOL! There's still some in the can. Now if I only had something leather to use it on. Any of you Oregonians ever heard of Huberd's Shoe and Grease Company?...
